¹û¶³´«Ã½ River State ¹û¶³´«Ã½ earned recognition as the Association of Florida ¹û¶³´«Ã½s (AFC) Chapter of the Year and as an AFC Platinum Chapter at the 69th Annual Meeting and Conference of the Association of Florida ¹û¶³´«Ã½s (AFC) held earlier this month in Orlando. Additionally Frank Watkins, ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Vice President of Student Affairs, was recognized with the Exemplary Leadership Excellence Award for 2018.

¹û¶³´«Ã½ brought home eight prestigious awards, including the Chapter of the Year Designation, and 15 employees were elected to statewide leadership positions.

Each year, members of the AFC are recognized for their achieved excellence and role in strengthening the Florida ¹û¶³´«Ã½ System, which comprises the 28 public community and state colleges in Florida. Today, through the sharing of the talents, time, and energy of 8,500 regular and retired members It has become the most inclusive higher education organization serving any college system in the nation.
